Anti-Freeze Coolant Testing Mountain Lakes, NJ (May 2001) ACUSTRIP® Company, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of a new Antifreeze Coolant Test designed specifically for the Texaco Extended Life Coolant/Anti-Freeze. To provide an easy to use, non-toxic, reliable, in the field tool, to evaluate the performance of the Coolant in Heavy-duty vehicles, ACUSTRIP® has developed the Nitrite/Freeze Point 2-way test for the Texaco Extended Life Coolant products. Due to the high level of Red dye in the Antifreeze Coolant these test strips have been designed to give a quick reading to provide a fail/pass indication of the SCA and freeze point protection. By simply dipping one test strip into the coolant sample for two seconds, the nitrite level can be seen by comparing the color of the pad to the color chart immediately. The Freeze point level can be read after 1 minute by matching the color of the second pad to the color chart. These test strips have the same shelf life, two years, under recommended storage conditions. When ordering simply ask for the ACU3002R, sold in mini cases, 2 bottles of 50 tests strips (100), or in full cases of 12 bottles of 50 test strips (600). These are priced at the same level as the ACU3002. |
MEASURING MOISTURE IN DOT3, DOT4 AND SYNTHETIC BRAKE FLUIDS | ||

This dip n' read test enables the professional service provider, or the DIY'er to quickly test brake fluid for the presence of corrosion causing moisture. As an incremental service a mechanic can demonstrate quickly to a concerned customer the condition of the brake fluid. It has been recommended that this test should be done at least once per year. Today, to do the test, a laboratory or service station must have expensive and delicate equipment. With ACUSTRIP® Brake test mechanics can perform an evaluation of the brake fluid quickly and easily. There is no need for expensive equipment or to send a sample to a laboratory. The brake test kit contains all the necessary materials and instructions to perform 30 tests. | |
