ACUSTRIP® Product Number 8000 Specifications

Introduction

As the water content of Brake Fluid increases over time, the boil point decreases. Brake Fluid with reduced boiling point can create vapor by boiling in the wheel cyclinder. This can occur under adverse braking conditions, or with a stuck brake pad. With vapor buildup pressing on the brake pedal applies force to vapor and not the pad. The result may be sudden brake failure. The presence of water in the brake fluid decreases the protection against failure due to brake fluid boiling.

The ACU8000 brake fluid check is the safe and easy way to check your brake fluid. The quick test gives results in one minute and confirms the necessity to replace brake fluid. The ACU8000 Acustrip test strips work in DOT 3, DOT 4, and synthetics brake fluids.

Procedures

Follow directions completely for best results. The test strips should be used by the date on the packaging.
